Terms of service
The agreement between you and bookslyt, in plain words.
Last updated 25 October 2026
The agreement
These terms are between Bookslyt, 6th and 7th Floor, Tower 2, Phoenix H10, Phoenix SEZ Access Road, Phase 2, HITEC City, Madhapur, Hyderabad, Telangana 500081, India ("bookslyt", "we"), and the person or business using bookslyt ("you"). By creating an account you agree to them and to the privacy policy. If you use bookslyt for a business, you confirm you may agree for it. You must be 18 or over.
What bookslyt does
bookslyt is software for billing, bookkeeping, GST, TDS and payroll. It works out figures from what you record, and gives reminders and due dates as a convenience. It is not a chartered accountant, tax adviser or lawyer: you are responsible for what you file and pay, and for checking figures (including input credit against GSTR-2B) before you do. Rules and due dates change; confirm them with your CA.
Your account
- Keep your password and codes to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- You decide who joins your books and with what role. You are responsible for what they do there.
- Give accurate details, and only add people's data (employees, customers) when you may lawfully keep it.
Your data
Your books belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run bookslyt for you, as the privacy policy describes. You can download your statements and books at any time. If you close your account, we delete your data as the privacy policy says, so download what you need first.
Plans and payment
- Plans and prices are on the pricing page. Prices are before GST, which is added to your invoice.
- A paid plan is paid ahead, monthly or yearly. If a payment is missed, the business moves to the Free plan; nothing is deleted, and past records stay readable and downloadable.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; a change applies from your next period.
- Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
Fair use
Don't use bookslyt to break the law, send spam or fake invoices, record transactions that didn't happen to mislead anyone, get into other people's data, overload or probe the service, or copy it. We may limit or suspend an account that does, telling you why unless the law or safety stops us.
The service
We work to keep bookslyt running and your data safe, with backups, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable or free of errors. We may improve or change features; if we remove something you pay for, we'll tell you ahead and refund the unused part if you leave because of it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, bookslyt isn't liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profit, penalties or interest from filings), and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending it
You can stop using bookslyt and close your account at any time. We may end these terms if you seriously break them, with notice where we can, and give you time to download your data unless that would be unlawful.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction. Before going to court, write to us at support@bookslyt.com; most things are sorted out that way.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 15 days before it applies. Carrying on after that means you accept the change.
